Virtualvillage.com scammed me last year.
I do business with companies over the net often, and never had any major problems until I made the mistake of dealing with virtualvillage.com. One way they scam you is by offering an "optional" insurance in case something happens to your item on its way from China. What they don't tell you is that if you don't get the insurance they won't even bother sending the item. Every time I called....no response.....when I e-mailed all I got from them were AUTOMATED responses....not even pertaining to my specific questions. They knew I would have a problem so the e-mail would just claim to be "surprised" then blame my post office (this is from their e-mail) "May I ask you check with your local post office as we've had a few instances of parcels being unable to be delivered by the postal services and they may have left it there for collection. When I responded that I checked please give me my tracking #, I got the same automated response. Finally I got a e-mail telling me that's why they tell costumers to buy the insurance and if I would send them the shipping fee again they would resend the items....lol, so I guess they thought I had to get burned twice before I figured out the no insurance no items policy. I reported them to my credit card company...but before I wrote my card company the hand written letter they requested it was too late and those bastards got my money.....don't let them get yours. I still have the e-mails so if their little 5 star worker refutes any of my claims I will post all the e-mails from them.
If I could give virtual village 0 stars I would have.
