Airlines lower airfares every day without advertising them. We will tell you about these “hidden” fare reductions and alert you to other sale fares. And we provide straight talk about finding low airfares on the Web.
Poor Prices: While trying to book a recent flight I searched many "cheap airfare" websites. Kayak not only had much more expensive fares but their website was very hard to understand. I would not recommend wasting your time searching this website. They also did not offer a way to search flexible dates, which was important to me. I suggest travelocity.
Travel by air the way you want: I like this website because it gives you the list of all the flights with different airlines that matches your schedule. It also gives us an option of choosing our hotels if we want one. I think the site would have looked more attractive if it had some pictures and colours added to it, otherwise its One stop travel scheduling site.
Kayak the Holiday and Flight Google: I really like this website as it is straight down to the point, simple, clean small and fast webpage. It's like how Google was to search engines.
Also a nice feature about the flight section of this website is that default values are selected for departing city as well as the dates. This makes the user's job much easier to fill in.
Also the check boxes "include nearby airports" is an excellent idea. If only they had included things like possible alternative routes via train or sea. It would be even better. Perhaps with a small comparison of journey times.
However by far the best feature of this website when selecting flights in the ajax functionality which so quickly pops up the prices for you to see on the same page. This means I don't have to go to the next page and go back again and change my dates and etc. This is amazing.
The result page as just as good with all the necessary options and airports to exclude is perfect. A bit too much google ads on the results page at the bottom. I think either to the right or at the bottom would suffice.
After you select your flight the hotel form is already taken default values so makes your job easier as well. I like these little nice features that save me milli seconds.
Recent searches are also saved, which can always be handy.
The buzz feature is also nice for people looking for a holiday but not sure where to go and how much it will cost.
This is a perfect web application.
The one thing I didn't like was the flexible dates link. I would prefer to have this as a simple check box.
