Wikitravel guides deliver honest information: Some travel websites you have to watch. They like to talk about a certain destination then ask you to buy the package that they advertise. Boosting their commission! So needless to say I like simple travel guides which just give you the facts. Don't sell me anything just give me the content, so I really like this right away. I guess if I had to select one thing that I didn't like about wikitravel guides is that they don't offer a lot of media content. It is mostly data or words. I like sites that show you where you are with pictures or videos. Unfortunately we do not get this with Wikitravel. Overall though if I am looking for quick trust worthy content, I will go to Wiki. Typically it is put there by the people of that area, so you get the hometown hookup!
