I've been a fan of CL since 1996 when it was e-mail lists - I miss the ability to subscribe to new posts based on boolean search strings, but CL still rocks!

Ugly but easy to use and free: This is one of the ugliest sites you'll ever find. But it's easy to use. If you want to place an ad you can add up to 4 pictures free. You can also use HTML in your ad if you know how. It's a big plus. They protect your privacy. Lots of people use it. I've had great luck selling things with it.

Better than eBay: Instant gratification, face-to-face transactions, low prices - what can I say? It's great!

Best Online Classifieds: This is the best classifieds site on the internet. I've bought two cars and a bunch of furniture from it. The one thing to look out for, are the deals that are "too good to be true," I think they use them to harvest emails for spamming.

Great time waster: You could spend hours going through this site. Look for vacation rentals, people selling their stuff and apartments. I looked for vacation rentals in Maui. It's nice to have an alternative to big chain hotels. Also, check out VRBO.com for that reason.
