Flyertalk.com the travelling community: This website is a good source of information and for asking about various things. It has a nice forum which is easy to use and you can find a lot of stuff there already or post your own questions.
It has a large user base which is very important. You can pretty much find out anything with large user numbers.
The website design is nice as well. Although the drop down menus at the top would be a bit more usual if they were slightly lower since this seems to be trend.
The only major thing about this website that does not convince me to use it on regular basis is, why would I use this website instead of my online travel agency website or the airline website or a travel group on Facebook? I mean there are so many websites that offer these same functionality. Why would I choose this website?
FlyerTalk - Frequent Flier Community and Blog: Frequent flier programs change on a daily basis and trying to keep up with changes as you are frequently flying can be pretty difficult. This is a good site with information on all of the frequent flier, as well as hotel, rental car and credit card loyalty programs. There's a nice travel forum too that discusses destinations and little known travel gems posted by knowledgeable world travelers. Even the bookstore is interesting with indie books aimed at the frequent mile traveler. The only part of the sitet that I did not find very useful was "The Gate" blog since it is too broad and discusses airlines and incidents that have no bearing on my travel plans. Good site, I will be checking back frequently so I have no surprises with my frequent flier program.
