Neowin is not just a news site, they have a good community for hardware repair, programming and OS's. although they favor windows, they have a apple and linux community. Watch your attitude there because the mod's are on top of instigators and SPAM!
News, albit slow and slighty tacky: Neowin's front page news is, overall, fairly good, however other sites such as Gizmodo do a much better job at delivering news, and sometimes quicker too. Neowin's news is sometimes several hours, sometimes even days, behind the rest of the tech industry.
And the tagline is often correct in one way - a lot of their current and past writers are pretty unprofessional.
This appears to be some kind of techlogy news resource site, but I found it too overwhelming to really hold my interest.There is just too much going on. I guess it means that no articles from professional journalists are included. Not sure why that is such an asset. I am all for citizen journalism, but that line strikes me as trying to be clever and falling flat.
