On more than 5 occassions MealPay Plus has failed to notify, and therefore failed to process an autopayment when one of my 3 children's account balances have dropped below the threshold I have set.
Their online Chat support is terrible, giving no reasons and giving no indication whether they problem has even been identified, let alone corrected. Obviously it hasn't been corrected or this wouldn't have happened AGAIN this week.
Matthew Hyde of MealPay was supposed to call me in December when this last occurred. No phone call was made. Online Chat is supposed to be up from 8-5 EST. At 8:45am it was not available.
Their communication is terrible, their service is terrible, their fees are too high, and I have notified my school district's staff of these problems. We are going to begin investigating different account management software.
MealPay Plus is worthless. If you have a choice do not use them, it will cost you more money than it is worth and you'll never have the peace of mind that your children's accounts are being managed properly. It is worse than just remembering to send money with them each week or month or whenever.
I hope this hurts MealPay's business and they do something to fix it. The concept is a good one but their execution is non-existent.
