Not for the faint of heart: I like epicurious, but I often find that the recipes are pitched way over my head. What's bechemel? And should I broast it?

Good recipes, but not enough of them: I don't know if they just don't have enough recipes, or if my search criteria are just too specific, but I've been disappointed with how often I simply can't find a recipe to suit my needs on epicurious. That being said, when I do find a recipe for my criteria (which are usually a set of ingredients), it's generally a high quality recipe focusing on fresh ingredients.

Invaluable resource for recipes: Epicurious.com is my "go to" for on-line recipes. Many of the recipes are from Gourmet & Bon Appetit magazines, so you know they come from reliable professional sources. User reviews for each recipe provide helpful hints & recipe tweaking from other home cooks who've already tried the recipes. In addition, the site provides interesting articles, guides & menu planning options that are invaluable to the home chef.
