The Guardian is a lively newspaper. News coverage is excellent. The coverage of the Arts and Economics and finace too is high quality. The website reflects this excellent newspaper. I can't pretend I like some of the political columnists - Simon Jenkins is complacent and arrogant, Polly Toynbee has little understanding of the electoral constraints on the Labour Perty and too many extremists are allowed one-off columns. But Martin Kettle is one of the very best political commentators around. Finally, the Saturday Review is superb.

Accurate, balanced, thoughtful, independant. Well laid out too and excellent search facility, including archive. Great "app" too!
