TravelZoo - This Zoo has great travel deals !: TravelZoo is a site to get excellent travel deals. The website is professionally done and has user friendly features. The front page allows you to search by location (Asia, Europe etc) or by interest (Romance, Adventure etc). Every link is thoughfully researched and the few I checked were all populated with relevant details. The only thing I did not like was that most links opened a new window. But perhaps that is exactly how someone else would want the site to behave so I cant really complain. The deals looked good and I might be tempted to explore more and even think of going for a deal myself. Lets see.
Check Travelzoo for best deals: At first I didn't like this website because it seemed really text oriented so I would have to read before I could click which means I have to spend some time reading. I would prefer it if there was a picture of an airplane for flights, a picture of a cruise ship for sea travel or train image for train travel and a bed for hotel. But nevertheless once you go to various sections the best deals are gathered very nice. I was impressed with the bargain holidays scavenged together by this website and I will be using this website to plan my holidays from now on.
The booking form could be improved by selection of default dates and cities but it was still of good standard.
TravelZoo seems to be the new lastminute.com. Excellent deals are lined through this website to the appropriate provider.
The name does not go with the site: Well I didnt like this site too much, maybe bacause with a name like travel zoo, you would expect a more colorfull and fun site. It comes off as more of an informational site and a site that you can actually make bookings at. The good thing about the site is that you are able to get a lot of information about on the site. But if im using a site to book flights, I want the first thing I see, be the boxes where you actually book the flight, on this site, its seems that you have to do most of the research your self. It might not be the case, thats the first impression the site gives you.
