since years i am using webmail,
coming from compuserve to netscape and now it's all aol, and in Firefox or Thunderbird, I am also handling export or import of my contacts, or dates, without any trouble.
- at least i love aol webmail more as the webmailer of my own comany, because it more easy, to handle UML, with less clicks to do.
Adequate: If you have it, keep it. Otherwise, it is slow to distribute incoming emails compared to others (e.g., Gmail), slow search, and security is middling. Storage is unlimited--potentially a plus--but less than stellar speeds make large downloads seem to crawl, even on broadband. Search function sometimes misses emails containing search terms.
Generally easy import of contact lists, but export is another story entirely. AOL makes it easy to get started, but it's a nightmare to leave.
