Easy to use travel site: If you are a fan of the Frommer's books, you will like their web site as well. Much of the same kind of information is included, but it is more up to date than any book can expected to be. The search feature works very well for well known destinations but is not as effective for lesser known areas. For example, I searched for "Lowell, MA," which has a small but developed tourism business and the first search results were from the community forum where people were discussing places to live near Andover, MA. However, a search for Provincetown, mA--a very well known vacation spot--the first return was the Frommer Guide to Provinctown. Very helpful. I also appreciate that the user is no overwhelmed by too many ads.
Finally a website that speaks from experience: Johnny Jet may be a real person or a fiction. I dont think that it matters at all. What matters is that Johnny Jet speaks from experience, and he speaks rather well. This site is one of the very few I have seen which really take the pain to make sure that the reviews are real (or atleast look really real). The images (they popup on bold links) are the proof of the pudding, so to say. I wish the images were bigger though, they are small (almost like thumbnails), but overall the site is very user friendly. Thank you Johnny Jet.
