I HATE this site! There is no quality control whatsoever. I went to review a property after having a half-day of email conversations with the "owners" of the property who told me it was okay to visit the property. When I arrived, the residents had NO IDEA their property had been listed on this site. DO NOT TRUST THIS INFORMATION. SHAME ON YOU HOTPADS.

HotPads offers an ideal interface to finding real estate information - map based, and with some very useful features for the advaced search. It also seems to be very complete. As I prepare to move to a new area, it is my first resource.
Pretty typical apartment site. Has a good number of listings and focuses on map view but doesn't really offer text search (e.g., I want a loft by the river).
