This software can not offer privacy and anonymity for the following reasons: 1) It's not open source. Therefore you have to trust the deveoper's promises. 2) You don't know what's happening on their servers. Who will know what a skilled police officer can find on their servers if he really cares? You have to rely on Hotspotshield's privacy policy. Personally, I won't trust a policy, I trust a mathematically proven security concept.
