I can believe each and every review, including the percentage of satisfied customers who would take pains to write about MyUS.com. I had two very unfortunate interactions with MyUS.com. On complaint, far from having got my questions answered, I ended up wasting my time and received emails of apologies. I see MyUS.com management are like "Politicians" with their "promises" and "political appeals" fitting the distasteful and unethical pill. Strangely, American Express has been patronizing almost every defunct vendor like MyUS.com.
I could rate MyUS.com less than ONE, if that was allowed, or ZERO, as thats what has been earned even before a transaction. It is all about confidence, ethics, trust and values a company in service sector offers.
The entire experience from the very first day that I registered/enrolled FREE for services of MyUS.com as an Amex member had been terrible. I had this company pinching me of about US dollars Hundred as enrollment/registration fee, completely defiant on their stand for doing that and thereafter also became inaccessible. I can believe some reviews if they called MyUS.com "thieves" since at the end of the day, I ended up loosing some money myself, let aside the time they took away from me.
That goes without saying that Amex too is just a commission agent between our transactions and in 19 out of 20 cases, never supported its Life Members, infact, not even tendered apologies for any of them, nor returned with followup action.
Strangely, is this the rule with the word "America" or the "US" when it comes to ethical practices and services or is it the defiant arrogance which needs wider proliferation of the satisfaction Index they actually earn?
Is it time service sectors fooling with rose gardens are held accountable?
Is it also time the Governments oversee charged services, since it charges taxes from both, companies as well as the citizens who are customers?
This is a horrible company which takes advantage of people living abroad. They will not fully reimburse you when items are stolen. They are cheap and poor packers (one of the items I ordered was sent to them from an ebay seller in an old appliance box; MyUS simply stuffed a few other items into that same used flimsy box and sent it on to me. Lame.
I gave it a 1 only because I couldn't choose a lesser rating. The business model is designed to take advantage of the fact that you are not in the US. That is, when something goes wrong they will do whatever they can to delay, waste your time and ensure you get screwed. There are plenty of other service providers that provide better service - use them
Those guys make enormous amount of intentional "mistakes" and never ever will take any responsibility for them. They don't care about the customer at all. Their company is black listed by Customs services of many countries, so expect your goods to be stopped and delayed.
