This information is the result of my desire to investigate the details of DCC consisting. The DCC system manuals were not always much help. I started to do some experimentation and found out that there are more ways to consist than I realized. The first part deals with the different methods used to consist. Then a look at the ways different consists can work together. Moving a consist from one system to another system can be problem, but there is a solution. The last part investigates just how to test decoders to see what parts of consisting they support.
