Good Site to Buy From: I've dealt with Zappos for several years and they do exactly what they promise. Prices are good, shipping is prompt, and returns are easy and never a problem. I have wide feet and generally buy New Balance sneakers, which they always have, often on sale.
The only problem I have is that when I sign up to be emailed when shoes I want are out of stock but then become available, I often don't get any email. This does work for the sneakers I buy, but not when I look for dress shoes. I can only assume that the sneakers are a higher volume of sales for Zappos so they get them in more often. The dress shoes must not be reordered very often, at least not in the 6 months I've been waiting for an email.
The bottom line is that I recommend this site. Its the first place I go, even over local stores, when I what to replace shoes I already know fit. I also try shoes I'm not sure will fit and just send them back if they don't.
Expensive, but good site: So far, I have found that the prices on Zappos are not that good. So I have never bought from them. But I appreciate their reviews of shoes and I hear that their return policy is really good and ridiculously easy. If I buy shoes online, I usually buy them from Amazon who also have good reviews and a very good return policy. So price wins out here.
